9th Key is from the series Symballein. In use the Greek verb symballein suggested a gathering together, a hiding, or a veiling. This piece uses imagery from the 9th Key of Basil Valentine. Valentine was Benedictine monk who for his achievements in the chemical sphere has been given the title of Father of Modern Chemistry.
